Founder and Chief Visionary
Army Sergeant First-Class (Retired)
Jeremy Walker hails from Georgetown, South Carolina, where he learned the principles of service and helping others at an early age. He enlisted in the South Carolina Army National Guard at the age of 16. After graduating high school the next year, Jeremy began active-duty service as an Artilleryman. Jeremy's career took an unexpected turn following a training accident. As a result, he was reclassified into the Military Intelligence Corps, where he served out the remainder of his service.
Jeremy held several trusted positions of responsibility over his 22.5 years of service, culminating as Senior Geospatial Intelligence Officer and Instructor for the groundbreaking U.S. Army Intelligence Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) Program. He was recognized as the Subject Matter Expert on all things related to drones. Jeremy amassed numerous awards and recognitions throughout his service, including the prestigious Bronze Star for Valor during combat in Afghanistan. In addition to Afghanistan, he also deployed to Iraq and Kosovo. His military service instilled a profound sense of duty as a servant leader, and he accepted a higher calling to lead and help others.
Upon retiring from the U.S. Army, Jeremy joined the civilian sector as a Systems Engineer Technical Advisor. As he fought for his own disability compensation for injuries sustained during his time in service, Jeremy began to meet fellow veterans experiencing the same challenges. He soon found himself studying Title 38 of the Code of Federal Regulations and becoming an expert on navigating the Department of Veterans Affairs red tape. Again, Jeremy answered the call to service to aid and assist other veterans with securing the benefits they deserved. He is a natural communicator who has built an extensive network that he leverages to produce results for the veterans he serves.
Jeremy is now the Founder and Chief Visionary of Helmets to Boots. He also serves as the Vice-Chair of the Atlanta Black Chambers’ Veteran Entrepreneurs Group and Veterans Service Officer for the American Legion, Post 296. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. He resides in Marietta, Georgia, and remains devoted to his faith and the principles of servant leadership.
Support current and future Veterans in understanding the regulations, terminology, and procedures for filing VA disability claims. Offer information about organizations that can offer assistance and highlight various benefits and resources that may not be widely known within our community. By sharing this knowledge, we empower our fellow Veterans to take control of their lives and strive for a better quality of life.
As a veteran myself who’s personally traveled this same path, I empathize with your frustrations, confusion, and anxieties of navigating the "Veteran Journey". Thankfully, our military service has taught us a valuable lesson: knowledge is indeed power! Its impact is exponentially greater in this sphere and can pave the way for a fulfilling life, love, happiness, and a lasting legacy for our loved ones! To my fellow brothers & sisters, I won’t let you “perish” for the lack of knowledge in this battle! I am committed to being a great servant leader whose goals are self-empowerment and the best quality of life for those whom I serve!
